Florian Karsten extracted Space Grotesk from Colophon's Space Mono in 2018, keeping the source's wide-mouthed character set but giving it proportional spacing and seven weights. It reads as a sans with monospace memory. Every letter still seems to have considered its neighbor. The result is a workhorse for product chrome that wants personality without theatrics.
